Fireworks were cancelled in Aspen, Colorado this year due to fires throughout the state. But that didn't stop the residents from celebrating America's birthday. I arrived in Aspen, Colorado on the 4th of July with my husband and dog in tow. We've been frequent visitors to this little gem of a town for the past 10 years. Aspen may be famous for being a world class ski resort, but summer is my favorite time to visit.
